A person is guilty of this offense under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-100 if they:
  1. Knowingly
  2. Obtain the property of another (money, goods, property, services, etc)
  3. By way of a false pretense (whether past or existing fact)
Punishment
Obtaining Property by False Pretense in North Carolina is considered a Class H felony under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-100.
